THE CAMERA BAGS AND CASES I USE FOR FILMMAKING & PHOTOGRAPHY THAT I RECOMMEND

LOWEPRO PROTACTIC 450 AW II

While there is no “perfect bag” for all projects, the Lowepro Protactic 450 AW II is about as close as it gets. I’ve beat this thing to death for the last couple years, and it hardly shows it. Durable, well-thought-out, and comfortable. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

PEAK DESIGN EVERYDAY MESSENGER V2

Want to go a little more incognito? The Peak Design Messenger is about perfect. Extremely light with cutting-edge features, I can’t believe how much camera gear it holds. A body or two, a couple lenses, even my Sony body with 70-200mm f2.8 fits perfectly.

THINK TANK AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL V3

First, Think Tank likely has the best customer support on the planet. Second, you’ll probably never need it since their bags are virtually indestructible. I beat mine up and it’s never failed me. A perfect carry-on for short trips, the Airport International just works.

OSPREY MANTA PACK

Great as a traditional backpack for hiking, but I use this a little bit differently. I pair it with this el-cheapo camera backpack that sits inside the Osprey. This way I can hike comfortably and keep my gear protected. The Osprey makes a great drone bag for hiking trips, or if you want an ultra comfortable bag for day trips.

PELICAN 1510 CASE

Pretty much indestructible, thankfully. Perfect as a carry-on, as it does meet airline luggage size requirements, and keeps your gear completely protected. I usually throw my essential gear in this to keep with me in the cabin, while extra and lighting gear gets checked. I very highly recommend the Pelican 1510 case.

PELICAN 1650 CASE

The Pelican 1650 is a behemoth of a case. It’s huge, heavy and awesome. Check with your airline ahead of time as it usually does count as oversized. Also, this thing weights around 30 or more pounds empty, so once loaded you’ll for sure be over the weight limit, but it holds SO MUCH STUFF.
