Portrait Photography with Pet

Rogue and Emma, one of our German Shorthaired Pointers

Please, take pictures of your pets.

Take pictures of your pets. No, not cell-phone pictures, take photographs with a decent camera and lens. One day, you’ll be thrilled you did.

This week, my family and I had to say goodbye to a dear friend. Emma, a German Shorthaired Pointer, gave us more than 14 splendid years of stubborness, craziness, laughter and love. While it’s never easy to say goodbye to a loved member of the family, she lived a great, long life, and thankfully we’ve got 14+ years worth of photos and videos to look back on and remember her.

While it may not always be convenient, and as busy as life gets it may not always be top-of-mind, but get out there and take some photos of your pets. If you aren’t able to, or aren’t satisfied with the images you capture, have someone else do it!

If you don’t know how, have someone do it for you.
