Project Overview
This is a short film, a passion project, that I filmed of a quick roadtrip to Madison, Wisconsin where my wife and several of our close friends participated in Ironman Wisconsin.
For those unfamiliar, the race is this: a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, followed by a 26.2 mile run. That’s right, after swimming 2.4 miles then biking 112 miles, the participants complete a full marathon.

The short film follows us through the road trip, getting to and enjoying time with friends in Madison, and of course, the race. Ironman races are always exciting, and watching the participants fight through pain, exhaustion and the urge to quit is truly awe-inspiring.
Filmed mainly with Sony a7iii, 16-35mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8
