Project Overview
Dirty Burg Trail Race is a trail running race held at Cannonsburg Ski Area in Belmont Michigan. The course winds itself through the woods around the base of the mountain, and eventually climbs up and over the highest point of the ski hill before dropping back down to the finish. The well-maintained trails are beautiful and are a worthy challenge for even the most experienced trail runners. The loops are 10k in length. Some athletes completed 5 loops to complete a full 50k trail run!
The atmosphere at Dirty Burg is incredible, in large thanks to the organizers for the event, Switchback Endurance. The participants, volunteers and spectators where amazing all day, and made it a joy to photograph.
I shot from early morning through late afternoon, and look forward to shooting the race again next year!
