Project Overview
My wife and I have spent a lot of time in Boston over the years and have fallen in love with the city. We’re there yearly, every spring, and enjoy everything - from the crazy subway system, the No Name restaurant on the fisherman’s pier, and of course the required Regina’s Pizza on the North End. We love Boston.
This year, due to the Covid pandemic, the in-person running of the Boston Marathon was canceled. This short film features my wife Aaron and I, highlights from our past trips to Boston, and the virtual running of this year’s Boston Marathon in our hometown of Rockford, Michigan.
I shot this mainly on the White Pine Trail starting in Rockford, during her actual Boston Marathon race, on the traditional Boston marathon morning. It was a perfect morning to film, to run, and to spend time with Aaron during her race in ways I normally don’t get to. This was our way of enjoying the Boston Marathon, even though we weren’t in Boston this year for the race.
